Job summary

DayOne in Malaysia seeks an experienced Design Manager for Data Center projects to oversee the design and implementation of data center facilities. This role requires close collaboration with engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver high-quality, compliant solutions.

You will lead technical design efforts, coordinate with vendors, and ensure regulatory alignment while guiding project teams to successful outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; working proficiency in English preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of industry experience, with a strong focus on data center or similar critical infrastructure projects.
In-depth knowledge of local codes and standards.
Experience in managing and coordinating complex projects, demonstrating strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate project designs with project managers, architects, and engineers to integrate designs into overall project plans.
Provide technical leadership across each system to ensure designs meet standards and client specifications.
Implement quality control processes to verify design accuracy and reliability.
Identify and resolve design challenges, minimizing project risks.
Collaborate with vendors to specify and select electrical equipment that aligns with design requirements.
Prepare and review design documentation, including technical specifications, drawings, and reports.
