Job summary

Maybank Malaysia is seeking an experienced Corporate Banking leader to oversee major local corporate relationships and uphold strong credit and asset quality. You will supervise Account Officers and Account Managers, structure financing terms, facilitate loan growth, and identify opportunities to cross-sell GB products to support the bank's wholesale banking strategy.

The role requires 8–12 years in wholesale/commercial banking, a business degree, and proven analytical and stakeholder

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of experience in wholesale/commercial/global banking.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance, Banking or Accounting, Engineering, Science or Mathematics.
• Strong analytical skills with good grasp of financial analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills to ensure effective delivery of credit reports and communication with stakeholders.
• Experience in Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Debt Capital Markets, or experience as a relationship manager or a credit officer.
• Good business sense/acumen, a customer-centric mindset, resourceful, reliable and responsible individual.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain relationships with large local corporates.
• Supervise Account Officers and Account Managers with the team.
• Facilitate loans growth and capital management at the team's level to achieve Corporate Banking strategy.
• Understand clients' financing requirements, perform detailed analysis and evaluation, structure financing terms.
• Recommend proposal and/or detailed terms sheet for pitching and negotiation with clients.
• Identify business opportunities and cross-sell GB products as Business Origination.
