Job summary

Teradata in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an AI Sales Engineer to lead regional AI initiatives across APJ. You will guide customers through enterprise AI demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements, collaborating with sales and solution teams to drive strategic opportunities.

The role requires 8+ years in presales or AI engineering, with hands-on experience in LLMs, RAG, vector search, and AI orchestration, plus strong Python/SQL skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in presales, solution architecture, AI engineering, data engineering, or a related customer-facing technical role.
• Hands-on expertise building and presenting AI solutions involving large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector search, and AI workflow orchestration.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with the ability to develop, customize, and present live demonstrations in customer environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Teradata's regional AI specialist for APJ, driving AI opportunities across multiple markets while building reusable assets.
• Provide architectural guidance and deliver compelling demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Collaborate with Enterprise and Growth sales teams, product specialists, CSAs, and account teams to accelerate customer outcomes.
