Job summary

Allianz Malaysia is seeking an actuarial professional to support the development, enhancement and governance of the Regional Model used across the Asia Pacific region. You will work closely with regional actuarial stakeholders to deliver modelling initiatives, implement model changes, perform testing and analysis, and drive continuous improvements in governance, controls and automation.

Qualifications

• Degree in actuarial studies or related discipline.
• 4–7 years of actuarial experience in life insurance, modelling, valuation or related functions.
• Progress in actuarial professional exams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Experience with actuarial projects, model development or process improvement is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT to simplify tasks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support development and enhancement of the Regional Model, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
• Contribute to actuarial modelling initiatives and support strategic priorities and continuous improvement efforts.
• Ensure that the Regional Model is properly tested, analyzed and documented before being released to the users.
• Drive adherence to established model governance processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, controls and automation.
• Collaborate with actuarial teams across multiple OEs, build strong relationships while developing actuarial expertise through exposure to diverse products, market requirements, and proactively addressing modelling and reporting queries.
