Job summary

BAC Asia is seeking a Business Development Engineer, Refrigeration to drive growth in the refrigeration market from our Malaysia base. You will identify opportunities, build partnerships with owners, consultants and contractors, and assemble a cross-functional team to deliver compelling proposals.

The role requires engineering education with 5+ years in a similar function, strong English and excellent stakeholder management across regions to accelerate BAC’s cooling solutions globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Understand the cooling/refrigeration systems and market trends.
• Ability to influence colleagues without direct reporting lines.
• Strong English skills and ability to interact with international customers.
• Market analysis and sound business judgement.
• Excellent organizational, communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business pipelines and understand market trends and customer needs in the refrigeration space.
• Co-work with global and regional colleagues, search for sales leads, and approach key customers to improve their penetration.
• Build strategic business partnerships and alliances to enhance BAC’s position in the targeted market (owners, consultants, Contractors).
• Lead team (regional and global) to figure out the best-fit proposal when deep dive the key customer needs.
• Lead the related marketing campaign (tradeshow, marketing tools, lunch and learn seminar etc.)
• Develop the team’s capability to leverage the full BAC product portfolio and our applications knowledge to influence customer design and specification.
