Job summary

LE MERIDIEN KUALA LUMPUR is seeking a safety-focused professional to help maintain a clean, safe, and secure workplace by following safety procedures and using equipment correctly. The role requires responding to hazards, emergencies, and hazards with appropriate action.

You will follow department policies, complete safety training, and report incidents promptly to management. The position emphasizes attention to detail and commitment to a safe working environment.

• Ability to use tools, equipment, and machines safely and responsibly.
• Willingness to complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ability to recognise and report hazards, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Ability to follow emergency response and hazardous material handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and apply correct lifting procedures as necessary to prevent injury.
• Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report work-related accidents and other injuries immediately to the manager or supervisor.
• Complete appropriate safety training and certifications required to perform work tasks.
• Follow procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
• Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions, or report them to management and security or safety personnel.
• Follow property-specific procedures for handling emergency situations, including evacuations, medical emergencies, and natural disasters.
• Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures when handling and disposing of chemicals and fertilizer.
