Job summary

AdvANrail Sdn. Bhd. seeks an experienced HVAC engineer to plan, coordinate and manage HVAC activities for railway rolling stock projects, from design through commissioning.

You will review designs, calculations and drawings, and ensure integration with trainset systems in collaboration with manufacturers and suppliers. The role requires strong knowledge of railway HVAC standards, testing, troubleshooting and performance verification, plus experience with AutoCAD and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Experience in HVAC engineering for railway rolling stock.
• Experience in trainset/rolling stock HVAC design, testing, commissioning, or maintenance.
• Strong understanding of railway rolling stock air-conditioning and ventilation systems.
• Familiarity with railway HVAC standards (EN 14750, EN 13129, EN 45545, IEC 61373, IEC 60571).

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage HVAC engineering activities across design, installation, testing, commissioning, and project completion.
• Review HVAC designs, specifications, calculations, drawings and documents.
• Coordinate HVAC system interfaces with electrical, mechanical, control, and other trainset systems.
• Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, technicians, consultants and customers to ensure successful implementation.
• Monitor installation, wiring, ducting, piping and insulation work on trainsets and related equipment.
• Support testing, inspection, commissioning, and troubleshooting for trainset HVAC systems.
• Analyse system performance and resolve issues related to cooling, ventilation, humidity, noise and energy use.
• Prepare and review HVAC specifications, drawings, procedures and commissioning records.
