Job summary

Hitachi Rail Malaysia Sdn Bhd is hiring a Project Coordinator to support PMs in planning, executing, and closing projects. The role focuses on administrative support, progress tracking, and effective communication across teams, clients and vendors.

With a background in business administration or project management and at least 2 years in a related role, you will ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget, while adhering to company methodologies and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years in project coordination or admin support, ideally in rail/engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal English; Bahasa Malaysia a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, minutes and action items.
• Monitor progress; identify risks and elevate issues timely.
• Prepare project documentation, reports and presentations.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication with internal teams, clients and vendors.
• Handle procurement requests, expense reports and travel arrangements.
• Track deliverables and support resource allocation.
• Ensure adherence to PM methodologies and standards.
• Assist with project closure documentation and lessons learned.
