Job summary

Emerson in Penang is seeking a project manager within the Penang R&D Sustaining Group to guide manufacturing-related projects from concept to execution. You will coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure timely and cost-effective results.

The role emphasizes strong project management discipline, risk mitigation, and proactive communication to stakeholders, with a focus on sustaining activities and lifecycle improvements.

Qualifications

• Responsible for leading medium-to-large cross-functional projects through full lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and action tracking.
• Drive alignment across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Services to meet objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects from initiation to closure.
• Manage project scope, cost, timelines and resources to meet objectives.
• Facilitate planning, decision-making and problem-solving across stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks balancing schedule, cost, quality and features.
• Deliver clear, timely communications to teams, sponsors and leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with development processes.

• This role will be handle Manufacturing escalations, Customer escalations, Quality /RMA escalations and life cycle management projects as well.

• Manageprojectscope,cost,timelines,andresourcerequirementstoachieveprojectobjectives.

• Facilitateprojectplanning,decision-making,andproblem-solvingacrossEngineering,Manufacturing,SupplyChain,Quality,Services,andotherstakeholders.

• Identify,assess,andproactivelymitigateprojectriskswhilebalancingschedule,cost,quality,andfeaturerequirements.
