Qualifications

• Experience in a food technology or food safety environment, ideally within an R&D department.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and analytical techniques used in food testing and quality control.
• Understanding of food safety standards, regulations and certifications such as HACCP, GMP and ISO standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in conducting experiments and analyzing data.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

About the role

We are seeking a talented R&D Officer to join FAIZA FOOD INDUSTRIES SDN BHD in Batu Pahat, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in driving innovation and excellence within our food technology and safety operations. As an R&D Officer, you will be at the forefront of developing new products, improving existing formulations, and ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is essential to maintaining our competitive edge in the food industry and supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional products to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research and development activities to create new food products and improve existing formulations
• Perform laboratory testing and analysis to ensure product quality, consistency and compliance with food safety standards
• Document all research findings, experiments and outcomes in detailed technical reports
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory requirements in food technology
• Support the development and implementation of food safety protocols and quality assurance procedures
• Conduct sensory evaluation and nutritional analysis of food products
• Assist in troubleshooting production issues and recommend solutions based on research findings
• Participate in cost analysis and optimization of product formulations and manufacturing processes
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure all products comply with relevant food safety legislation
