Job summary

Etika Group of Companies in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Head of Product Development to lead end-to-end NPD, renovation, improvement, and Lift & Shift projects from concept to commercialization. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in product development, R&D, or a related food industry environment.
• Possess own transportation and be willing to travel when required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across different functions and levels.
• Demonstrates a proactive, systematic, and results-oriented approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end product development activities, covering NPD, Renovation & Improvement, and Lift & Shift projects from concept to commercialization.
• Drive product development projects independently, ensuring timely execution, quality deliverables, and effective budget management.
• Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation, including formulations, material specifications, production manuals, protocols, and compliance documents.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Supply Chain, and Export to support successful product development and commercialization.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on product development, formulation, technical assessments, and project execution.
• Mentor and coach Executives, supporting their technical development, project management, and documentation practices.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities through research, technical evaluation, and supplier innovation.
• Oversee the proper operation, upkeep, and maintenance of the R&D Centre and Pilot Plant.
• Ensure all product development activities comply with the company’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Management System and relevant requirements.
• Perform any other duties or additional tasks as assigned, consistent with the role and the needs of the business.
