Job summary

Broadcom in Penang seeks a senior engineer to design and develop motion control sensors and related products. You will lead cross-discipline projects, translate broad concepts into structured plans, and drive new platform design while collaborating with teams in China for on-site support and troubleshooting.

The role requires deep electronics knowledge, FPGA/µ-controller exposure, and strong communication skills; Mandarin is mandatory.

Qualifications

PhD/Masters/Bachelors in Electrical & Electronics with >5 years relevant experience.
Familiar with motion encoding/control systems and product testing/characterization.
Strong program/project management and troubleshooting skills.
Mandarin speaking is mandatory; writing skill is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Design and develop motion control sensors/products.
Determine and develop approaches/experiments to fulfill assignments.
Lead design and delivery of new product/technology advancements; be a key technical contributor.
Integrate cross-discipline information into new products.
Provide engineering support to China subsidiary, including on-site customer support and troubleshooting.
Drive new product platform design and evaluation projects; stay updated on new tech and EMC standards (IEC/EN 61000-4-X).
Solve complex, high impact design/development problems.
Contribute ideas and technical write-ups to strengthen Broadcom's market position.
