Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks an R&D support member to assist in developing and benchmarking food and beverage products. You will prepare laboratory samples, prototypes, raw materials and equipment according to approved formulations and project requirements.

Assist in formulation trials, product optimization, sensory evaluation and product performance assessment; conduct trials and basic testing, record results, and maintain R&D documentation with proper housekeeping and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in food manufacturing, R&D, laboratory, QA or product development is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the R&D team in the development, improvement and benchmarking of food and beverage products.
• Prepare laboratory samples, prototypes, raw materials and equipment according to approved formulations and project requirements.
• Assist in formulation trials, products optimization, sensory evaluation and product performance assessment.
• Conduct laboratory trials and basic physical / chemical testing, and accurately record results and observations.
• Support sample preparation for customer evaluation, internal assessment and external laboratory testing.
• Assist in product trials, troubleshooting and other R&D activities when required.
• Maintain proper R&D documentation, sample records, laboratory cleanliness and good housekeeping practices.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures, food safety, quality and regulatory requirement.

• DIPLOMA in Food Science, Food Technology or related field.

To support the R&D team in the development, improvement and commercialization of food products by carrying out laboratory trials, sample preparation, product testing, production trials, raw & pack material evaluation and documentation.
