Roland Manufacturing Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an R&D Engineer (Electronic and Electrical) to design and develop electronic circuits and PCBA for musical instruments. You will lead schematic and PCB work, generate BOMs, and coordinate with software, acoustics, and product design teams to deliver robust prototypes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
• Proven experience in electronic circuit design and development.
• Proficiency with CAD tools for electronic design (Altium, Eagle).
• Strong analog and digital circuit design knowledge.
• Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems.
• Knowledge of audio signal processing or acoustics is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

R&D Engineer (Electronic and Electrical)

Lead and assist to design and develop electronic circuits and systems, PWB and PCBA for electrical musical instruments.

Conduct research to innovate and improve existing products.

Lead a team and assist to collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, product designers, and acoustics engineers.

Create detailed technical documentation and specifications such as schematic, BOM, PCB layout, XY data etc

Person In charge for collaboration for prototype and test new designs to ensure functionality and performance.

Assist to Manage and plan for troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the development and production phases.

Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronic components and musical instrument technology.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements such as EMC & Safety Test regulations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in electronic circuit design and development.

Proficiency in using CAD tools for electronic design (e.g., Altium, Eagle).

Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design.

Experience with microcontrollers and embedded systems.

Knowledge of audio signal processing and acoustics is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
