Job summary

IOI Palm Wood Sdn Bhd is seeking a Research and Development Assistant to support the development of new and improved palm wood products. You will collect lab data, analyze findings, and collaborate with Production, Sales & Marketing to align with customer expectations and quality standards.

You will also assist in implementing improved technologies, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and following company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist to develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products and study the potential of new products.
• Develop a good communication and team work with others Department for products improvement.
• Collect and analyse experimental/lab data.
• Analyse data and research findings to draw meaningful conclusion.
• Collaboration with Production and Sales & Marketing team to develop new products. Understand customer expectations on the to-be manufactured products.
• Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customer.
• Assist Superior to improving of product quality.
• To ensure product quality was comply as per customer requirement.
• Follow and practice all factory safety and environmental regulations accordingly in all times.
• Follow and practice company policy and regulation. Practise good disciplinary such as no absenteeism, tardiness and obey to superior instruction.
• Follow working schedule plan as assigned by superior.
• Assist on ad hoc assignments when require.
