Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site personnel including operators, drillers and workers.
• Coordinate renewals of quarry licenses and related documentation.

About the role

PANTAI QUARRY SDN. BHD. is seeking a talented and experienced Quarry Engineer to join our operations team in Pantai Remis, Perak. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient and safe extraction of mineral resources at our quarry facility. In this role, you will play a crucial part in optimising quarry operations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and supporting the strategic objectives of our mining operations. You will work on-site at our Pantai Remis location, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver operational excellence and drive continuous improvement across all aspects of quarry management.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the quarry and crushing plant.
• Develop and execute production plans to meet targeted aggregate outputs while maintaining strict quality control.
• Manage heavy machinery and plant maintenance, coordinating repairs to minimize equipment downtime with contractors.
• Ensure compliance with Land Office (PTG), Department of Mineral and Geoscience (JMG) and Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) regulations and other relevant authorities.
• Manage on-site personnel, including plant operators, drillers, and general workers.
• Manage consultant from time to time to ensure timely renewal of quarry license and other relevant documents required by the authority.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution
• Minimum of 3years of professional experience in quarry operations, mining engineering, or a similar extractive industry role
• Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with proven capability to work effectively in team environments
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound technical decisions under pressure
• Relevant professional certifications in mining engineering or occupational safety would be advantageous
• Valid driving licence and willingness to work on-site in a quarry environment
