Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (Property Developer) to coordinate QS matters with consultants, contractors and project teams. You will assist in pre- and post-contract administration, including take-off quantities, BQ preparation, procurement, tendering, valuation and interim payments.

The role requires at least 3 years of relevant experience and a Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, with familiarity in contract law and construction contracts.

Qualifications

• Min 3 years working experience.
• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or related qualification.
• Familiarity with contract law and construction contracts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and liaise with consultant, contractor, site personnel, project team on QS matters.
• Assist in pre- and post-contract administration such as take-off quantities, preparation of BQ, material procurement, tendering and contract award process, site valuation and measurement, monthly interim payment certification and VO assessment, final account and etc.
• Attend site, project and client consultant meetings.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports for management review.
• Any other duties as assigned but not limited to the above.

Job Description:

Coordinate and liaise with consultant, contractor, site personnel, project team on QS matters.

Assist in overall the pre- and post-contract administration such as taking-off quantities, preparation of BQ, material procurement, tendering and contract award process, site valuation and measurement, monthly interim payment certification and VO assessment, final account and etc.

To attend site, project and client consultant meetings.

Preparation of weekly and monthly reports for management review.

Any other duties as assigned but not limited to the above.

Key Responsibilities:

Min 3 years working experience.

Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying or any other related qualification.

Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and terms.

Familiarity with contract law and construction contracts.

Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Ability to work independently, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to learn.
