Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on industrial, manufacturing or EPC projects at site.

You will review variations, prepare final accounts, support progress payments, and coordinate with engineering, construction and planning teams to resolve commercial issues related to MEP and building services.

The role requires a Bachelor's in QS or engineering, 8+ years' experience, and familiarity with FIDIC contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform measurement, valuation, and certification support for Mechanical, Electrical, Process Utility, Cleanroom, and associated building services works in accordance with the Contract requirements and FIDIC principles.
• Review contractor progress claims, payment applications, variations, and supporting documentation related to MEP and Electrical works.
• Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in the administration of the Contract, including the assessment of variations, claims, extension of time submissions, and final accounts.
• Verify quantities, completed works, equipment installations, and materials on site to support accurate valuation and payment certification.
• Maintain quantity records, variation registers, and contractual documentation for MEP and Electrical works.
• Assist in the preparation of commercial reports, payment recommendations, and contractual correspondence.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, planning, and commercial teams to ensure timely resolution of commercial and contractual issues related to MEP systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in quantity surveying, including mechanical, electrical, process utility, HVAC, cleanroom, or building services valuation.
• Working knowledge of FIDIC contract administration, including quantity measurement, valuation, variations, progress payments, claims support, and final account preparation.
• Experience on industrial, manufacturing, semiconductor, cleanroom, EPC, data centre, or infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with MEP systems, utility installations, testing and commissioning activities, and equipment valuation.
• BQSM registration, PMC/Owner's Engineer experience, and semiconductor project experience will be added advantages.
• Membership of MRISM, RICS, or equivalent professional institution will be an added advantage.
• Malaysian candidate preferred.
