Job summary

IAQ Energy Facility Management Sdn. Bhd. Kulim, Kedah is seeking a Quantity Surveying professional to support procurement, construction and project closeout stages.

The role requires a Degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 2 years of related experience, with proficiency in MS Office. Experience in MEP QS is an added advantage and the role involves handling contract management, tender processes, change orders and final accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years' working experience in related industry.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PPT).
• Experience in MEP QS is an added advantage.
• Experience in handling project contract management and commercial issues.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager in executing commercial related business.
• Accountable for the quality, safety, health and environmental management and performance at the workplace and project site.
• Tender package issuance to bidders and manage queries; liaise with package owner for technical queries.
• Prepare tender recommendation report and execute tender price rationalization exercises.
• Contract compilation and binding; ensure bidders comply with commercial terms.
• Support EHS operation and advise package owner in contractual matters.
• Prepare Change Orders/Variation Orders and progress claim documentation.
• Handle goods import matters such as tax exemption, customs clearance and forwarding arrangements.
• Assist Manager in final account closure.

2) Engineering Stage

• Assist Manager in executing commercial related business.
• Accountable for the quality, safety, health and environmental management and performance at the workplace and project site.

3) Procurement Stage

• Tender package issuance to bidders.
• Manage all tender queries and clarification from bidders. Liaise with package owner for technical related queries.
• Addendum issuance to bidders.
• Arrange tender interview and clarification session.
• Ensure bidders comply with commercial terms of the contract.
• Check price error and abnormalities in proposals submitted by bidders.
• Bidder price comparison.
• Prepare tender recommendation report.
• Execute tender price rationalization exercises.
• Contract compilation and binding

4) Construction Stage

• Support EHS operation.
• Advice package owner in contractual matters.
• Responsible in VO and CO cost calculation.
• Prepare Change Order and Variation Order documentation.
• Execute progress claim procedure. Liaise with package owners in progress claim verification.
• Execute goods import related matters such as tax exemption, custom clearance and forwarding arrangement.

5) Project Closure

• Assist Manager in final account closure.

Job Requirements: -

• At least Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• At least 2 years' working experience in related industry.
• Able to operate MS Official applications.
• Experience in MEP QS will be an added advantage.
• Experience in handle project contract management and commercial issue.
