A leading legal and consultancy firm in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (Junior/Senior Executive) to assist in tender processes, manage post-contract administration, and oversee vendor management. The ideal candidate must have a Diploma or higher in Quantity Surveyor and possess strong analytical and organizational skills. Qualifications

Job description
QUANTITY SURVEYOR - JUNIOR / SENIOR EXECUTIVE
  • To report to HOD and to assist Contract Manager and Assistant Contract Manager
  • Pre contract works includes to assist in Tender process for main-contract and nominated sub-contracts, review draft tender documents, tender reports, arrange tender interviews, tender award and review of letter of award
  • Vendor/supplier management works includes acquiring of quotations, cost analysis and estimates, evaluation of quotations and prepare work order/purchase order
  • Measurement taking off and site measurement includes preparation of bill of quantities.
  • To oversee post-contract administration including project budget monitoring, site valuations, progress claims, variations and final accounts
  • Consultant management includes request for fee proposals, evaluate, draft and officiate appointment and prepare consultants payment claims
  • Work closely with consultants, contractors, design and project teams
  • To attend site meeting, technical meetings and coordination of meetings.
  • To prepare documentation and proper filling system.
  • To perform any other duties and when assigned from time to time.
  • Must have good follow-up, organizational skills and analytical skills.

Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Professional Degree, in Quantity Surveyor or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, costing summary and materials budget handling skills.
  • Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving and an ability to negotiate across the various levels of any construction environment.
  • Proactive and ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
  • Able to prioritise and respond with appropriate level of urgency.
