EMREKA GROUP SDN BHD invites a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor/Procurement specialist to join our construction team in Subang Jaya. You will oversee cost estimation, take-offs, tender preparation, contract negotiation, and post-contract cost control to ensure project budgets are met.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Quantity Surveying with at least 3 years in purchasing or procurement within construction, strong Excel and ERP familiarity, and good negotiation and communication

Formación

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Quantity Surveying or an equivalent relevant qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in purchasing or procurement within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of supplier sourcing, quotation comparison, purchase orders, negotiation, and delivery coordination.
• Familiarity with construction materials and ability to understand basic technical specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for quotation comparisons, cost analysis, and procurement reporting.
• Experience using purchasing, inventory, or ERP systems is an advantage.
• Good negotiation, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple purchase requests and meet tight project deadlines.
• Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Willing to travel to project sites or suppliers when required.

Responsabilidades

• Cost Estimation & Feasibility: conduct initial cost studies and prepare preliminary cost plans.
• Quantity Take-off: measure materials, labour, and equipment from plans for BOQ.
• Tender Preparation: compile tender packages and evaluate submissions.
• Contract Negotiation: assist in drafting and negotiating contract terms with suppliers/subcontractors.
• Cost Control & Monitoring: track expenditures against the master budget to prevent overruns.
• Interim Valuations: inspect site work and approve monthly progress payments.
• Variation Management: evaluate cost impact of design changes and negotiate pricing.
• Financial Reporting: provide budget updates and cash flow forecasts.
