Job summary

IN INTERIOR DESIGN BUILD SDN. BHD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (Construction Project Management) in Kuala Lumpur.

The role interfaces between project ownership and delivery across Corporate Office Fit-out, Retail, Warehousing and Industrial projects, overseeing planning, procurement and budgeting to drive profitable project execution. You will collaborate with Clients, Consultants and Contractors, manage tenders, and lead commercial discussions to ensure value and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
• Experience in corporate/workplace interior fit-out projects.
• Tech-savvy with experience adopting digital/AI initiatives.
• Effective and engaging team player with strong interpersonal & communication skills.
• Adaptable to any client and able to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop a clear project brief outlining material, cost, and time requirements (lead time) and constraints to clients.
• Advise on procurement strategies and prepare project budgets and tender documents (pre- and post-contract).
• Conduct tender process with client interviews during contractor selection and present evaluations.
• Draft tender documents, evaluate bids, and provide recommendations for contract awards.
• Lead commercial aspects for project meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients.
• Work with contractors, sub-contractors and site teams to ensure profitability and project success.
