Job summary

WIJAYA DAYA SDN BHD, based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, seeks a Quantity Surveyor with 2–3 years of relevant experience to join our contracting team. The role covers contract administration, cost estimation, procurement support, and preparation of interim valuations and progress claims on ongoing projects.

You will work with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare tender documents, monitor material usage, verify subcontractor payments, and attend project meetings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years' relevant experience.
• Knowledge of cost control, procurement support and tender processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform contract administration, procurement, monthly cost reporting and tracking of on-going project.
• Handle evaluation of tender, preparation of tender submission, cost estimation, procurement support, preparation of interim valuation for main contract and subcontractors.
• Prepare main progress claim and ensure certification of progress claims by consultants and project client.
• Jointly prepare tender documents and bill of quantities for subcontract works with Senior Quantity Surveyor.
• Produce schedule of materials and delivery schedules for Purchasing Department.

Job description

Contractor company based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform contract administration, procurement, monthly cost reporting and tracking of on-going project.

Handle evaluation of tender, preparation of tender submission, cost estimation, procurement support, preparation of interim valuation for main contract and subcontractors

Fully responsible for the preparation of the main progress claim and to ensure the certification of the progress claim by the consultants of the project, the project management consultants and the project client.

Together with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, to jointly prepare the tender documents and the bill of quantities for calling of various tender of sub-contract works.

To produce the schedule of materials and delivery schedules for the Purchasing Department's procurement.

To constantly monitor the usage of materials by the site or sub-contractor.

Together with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare and verify the sub-contractors payments.

To attend all the meetings of the project.

Any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field;

Minimum 2-3 years' relevant experience.
