Job summary

Murni Makmur Niaga Sdn Bhd is seeking a capable Quantity Surveyor to manage pre- and post- contract works in building construction. The role requires sourcing quotations, preparing cost analyses and progress claims while providing commercial support to project teams.

Candidate should be proactive, able to work independently with minimum supervision, and possess strong planning and time management skills. Immediate start preferred; remuneration will reflect experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Computer literate with MS Office applications.
• Experience in pre- and post-contract QS works in building construction.
• Knowledge of costing summaries and materials budget handling.

Responsibilities

• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Compile supporting documents and tender submission.
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare cost analysis, budgets and monitor project expenditures.
• Prepare, submit and follow up on progress claims.
• Evaluate subcontractor claims and manage payment certification.
• Manage variation orders and final accounts with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Provide commercial and contractual support to site and project teams.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated and have strong commitment to responsibilities.
• Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.

• Manage variation orders and final account with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Provide commercial and contractual support to site and project teams

Requirements :

• Computer literate (Microsoft Office application, AutoCAD, and Glodon).
• QS post for both Pre & Post Contract works in Building Construction.
• Knowledge of construction methods, costing summary and materials budget handling skills.
• Demonstrate innovative approaches to problem-solving and an ability to negotiate across the various levels of any construction environment.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
• Able to prioritize and respond with an appropriate level of urgency.
• Able to communicate in both languages of Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Preferably candidates can START IMMEDIATELY

Remuneration will be commensurate with experiences and qualifications.
