Job summary

ASE Electronics Malaysia is seeking a QA Inspector to perform in-process inspections, acid testing, and golden unit validation to ensure product quality. You will identify non-conformities, support maintenance of QA equipment, and contribute to CAPA and Kaizen initiatives on the production floor.

The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in a technical field with knowledge of SOPs, Control Plans, and quality tools; semiconductor QA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Electronics, or a related technical field.
• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing QA is an advantage.
• Familiarity with MSA, SPC, FMEA, Control Plan, CAPA and basic quality tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and product inspections according to SOP, Control Plan, and inspection specifications.
• Conduct acid testing and other required quality tests to verify product quality and defect detection capability.
• Perform golden unit validation to ensure inspection equipment and detection systems are functioning effectively.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products or process abnormalities.
• Perform routine verification and functional checks of QA inspection equipment.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance for QA equipment and ensure zero overdue activities.
• Escalate equipment abnormalities to the relevant QA Engineer or responsible department.
• Support QA Engineers in abnormality investigation, containment, and follow-up actions.
• Participate in robustness audits, process audits, and quality improvement activities.
• Ensure proper implementation of quality requirements at the production floor.
• Ensure quality records are complete, accurate, and traceable.
• Support QA improvement projects, CAPA, Kaizen, 5S, and other quality initiatives.

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes and QA inspection is an advantage.
• Familiarity with MSA, SPC, FMEA, Control Plan, CAPA, and basic quality tools is preferred.
• Experience in equipment verification, preventive maintenance, or laboratory/quality testing is an advantage.
