Job summary

Unigen Technology Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an experienced supplier quality professional to develop and maintain process controls, PFMEAs, and work instructions. You will monitor process performance with SPC and Cp/Cpk, identifying improvements to reduce variation and boost yield.

You will lead CAPA activities, investigate quality issues using 8D/Fishbone/5 Whys, and ensure ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and IATF 16949 adherence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supplier quality or manufacturing quality within EMS or electronics industry (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of PCBA processes (SMT, wave soldering, conformal coating, etc.).
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, and ESD standards.
• Proficient in quality tools: SPC, FMEA, 8D, DOE, and control charts.
• Experience with AOI, X-ray, and ICT.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies.
• Exposure to medical, automotive, or industrial electronics standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with QMS software and MS Office tools.

Identify and implement process improvements to reduce variation and improve yield.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements.

Support internal and external audits, including documentation and corrective actions.

Lead investigations into process-related quality issues using 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.

Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring defects.

New Product Introduction (NPI)

Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to ensure quality readiness for new products.

Validate process capability and quality controls during pilot builds and ramp-up.

Training & Documentation

Train operators and technicians on quality standards, inspection techniques, and process controls.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation and records.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Customer Quality teams to resolve issues and meet quality goals.

Participate in daily production meetings and quality reviews.

Experience Requirements
