Job summary

Coherent Corp. in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a motivated Quality Intern to support digital quality initiatives, Power BI dashboards, data analysis, supplier quality, FAI, and process improvement activities.

You will work with cross-functional teams to enhance process efficiency and quality performance. The role involves developing digital quality platforms, maintaining dashboards, analyzing data, and assisting with supplier quality and inspection processes.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, Quality Management Systems, supplier quality, or First Article Inspection is preferred.
• Previous experience with Power BI, quality improvement projects, or data reporting is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform other quality-related duties assigned by the Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance digital Quality platforms to improve process efficiency and information accessibility.

• Create, maintain, and enhance Power BI dashboards for quality performance monitoring.

Requirements & Skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel and Power BI.

• Basic understanding of data collection, validation, analysis, and reporting.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.

• Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and willing to learn digital Quality tools.

• Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Knowledge of SQL, database management, or process automation is an advantage.
