Job summary

EPS Malaysia is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer in Johor Bahru to oversee quality across incoming materials, in-process items and finished products.

You will support New Product Introduction, perform testing and analyze reports, and maintain ISO documentation and records to ensure compliance with quality standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in materials/manufacturing engineering and 3–5 years in manufacturing, with shift work and a proactive, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the specified engineering/science fields.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment; laboratory experience is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of OES (Optical Emission Spectrometer), Oracle MRP system, and basic welding (GMAW/SMAW) will be an added advantage.
• Good communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter, team player and willing to grow with the company.
• Able to work independently and handle ad-hoc operational tasks.
• Willing to work shifts and weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections for incoming, in-process, and outgoing raw materials and finished products.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and quality evaluation.
• Prepare and analyse product testing and raw material reports.
• Maintain ISO-related quality documentation and records.
• Perform laboratory testing including chemical and mechanical analysis.
• Manage calibration of measuring instruments and testing equipment.
• Assist in vendor approval for raw materials.
• Participate in non-conformance investigation and corrective action processes.
• Support company initiatives such as 5S, safety programs, and continuous improvement activities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are maintained.
