Job summary

Xepa-Soul Pattinson (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Melaka is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control professional to join our pharmaceutical operations. You will conduct sampling, inspections, and material release activities, and help maintain GMP-compliant records to ensure product quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related fields, at least two years in QC/QA/lab functions, and demonstrated leadership or team coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Quality Control, QA, IQC, or laboratory functions.
• IKM membership/ Licentiateship is an advantage.
• Demonstrated leadership or team coordination experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling and inspection of incoming raw materials and packaging materials per procedures.
• Coordinate sample submission to the QC Laboratory for testing and retention.
• Perform material release, rejection, and status labeling activities.
• Maintain quality records, inspection reports and related documentation.
• Verify testing equipment according to schedules.
• Support investigations involving deviations, non-conformances and quality issues.
• Review and maintain packaging artwork samples and related records.
• Ensure cleanliness and GMP-compliant sampling area.
• Lead and coordinate daily quality inspection activities.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Conduct sampling and inspection of incoming raw materials and packaging materials according to approved procedures.
2. Coordinate sample submission to the Quality Control Laboratory for testing and retention.
3. Perform material release, rejection, and status labeling activities.
4. Maintain quality records, inspection reports, and related documentation.
5. Perform verification of testing equipment according to established schedules.
6. Support investigations involving deviations, non-conformances, and quality issues.
7. Review and maintain packaging artwork samples and related records.
8. Ensure cleanliness and compliance of the sampling area in accordance with GMP requirements.
9. Lead and coordinate daily quality inspection activities to ensure smooth operations and compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.
2. Minimum 2 year of relevant experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Incoming Quality Control, or laboratory-related functions.
3. Membership or Licentiateship with the Malaysian Institute of Chemistry (IKM) will be an added advantage.
4. Demonstrated leadership, supervisory, or team coordination experience is preferred.
5. Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
