Job summary

Wire Master Spring Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a meticulous QA Inspector to ensure in-process quality for spring production. You will perform regular inspections at 2-hour intervals, record results, and promptly report any defects to the QA Executive and Technical Manager.

You will conduct incoming inspections of raw wire, ensure non-conformities are contained, and support corrective actions while adhering to ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of working experience in a production factory.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in English or Malay.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process quality control inspections for spring production machines.
• Record and maintain inspection results; report abnormalities promptly.
• Conduct incoming inspection of raw materials, especially wire materials.
• Stop machine operation when significant quality risk is detected.
• Assist in disposition of non-conforming products with approvals.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and related procedures.
• Maintain housekeeping and monitor environmental aspects relevant to the dept.

Job description

Report to the QA Executive and comply with company rules, regulations, procedures, and work instructions.

Responsible for conducting in-process quality control inspections for spring production machines and ensuring products meet specified quality and dimensional requirements.

Perform QC inspections on every operating spring machine at a minimum 2-hour interval or as specified in the relevant inspection procedure.

Record and maintain accurate inspection results and immediately report any abnormality, defect, or out-of-specification condition to the QA Executive and Technical Manager.

Perform incoming inspection of raw materials, particularly wire materials, upon receipt and before approval for production use.

Ensure identified quality issues and non-conformities are properly contained and that corrective actions are carried out promptly by the responsible personnel.

Have the authority to stop machine operation when significant product non-conformance or quality risk is detected, subject to company procedures.

Assist in determining the appropriate disposition of non-conforming products, subject to approval or final decision by the Technical Manager / Operations Manager where applicable.

Prepare and submit daily QC inspection records and reports on a weekly basis for review and approval.

Monitor and maintain proper housekeeping and control of significant environmental aspects relevant to the department and work activities.

Comply with relevant ISO 9001:2015 requirements, quality procedures, environmental procedures, policies, objectives, and targets.

Education Qualification

SPM, SKM, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in any discipline.

Skills or Experience Requirements

Good and effective communication skills in English or Malay.

Strong discipline, attention to detail, and ability to follow inspection procedures and work instructions.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Basic understanding of quality inspection, measurement, and production processes will be an advantage.

Minimum 1 year of working experience in a production factory.

Fresh graduates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
