Job summary

WELLSENTECH SDN BHD is hiring a quality inspection technician in Penang. The role focuses on dimensional inspection of products using precision measuring tools and adherence to drawings and SOPs.

You will verify conformance, document results, and participate in corrective actions to prevent non-conforming shipments. Ideal candidates hold SPM/SKM or a Diploma in engineering or related fields, with experience in quality inspection or precision manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Measure dimensions of products using calipers, gauges, micrometers, height gauges and other inspection tools.
• Inspect and test products to ensure conformance with drawings, specs, SOPs and customer requirements.
• Ensure products meet required specifications before release to customers.
• Discuss inspection results with relevant personnel and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow up on corrective actions and verify effectiveness.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products to prevent use or shipment.
• Update inspection data, reports, and related quality documentation.
• Ensure measuring instruments are calibrated, maintained and available.
• Check calibration status and report expired/damaged instruments.
• Maintain records and traceability of inspection results.
• Support QC team in investigating quality issues and customer complaints.
• Follow company quality procedures, SOPs, work instructions and safety requirements.
• Maintain 5S in inspection and working area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Leader.

Job description

• Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Inspect and test products to ensure conformance with drawings, specifications, SOPs, and customer requirements.
• Ensure products comply with the required specifications and quality standards before being released to customers.
• Discuss inspection results with the relevant personnel and recommend necessary corrective actions.
• Follow up on open corrective actions and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions taken.
• Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming products to prevent unintended use or shipment.
• Update inspection data, inspection reports, and other quality-related documentation accurately.
• Ensure measuring and inspection instruments are properly calibrated, maintained, and available for use.
• Check calibration status before using measuring instruments and report any expired or damaged instruments.
• Maintain proper records and traceability of inspection results.
• Support the QC team in investigating quality issues and customer complaints when required.
• Follow all company quality procedures, SOPs, work instructions, and safety requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 5S within the inspection and working area.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Leader from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Minimum SPM / SKM / Diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, or related field.
• Experience in quality inspection or precision manufacturing is an advantage.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
• Able to use basic measuring instruments such as caliper and micrometer.
• Knowledge of GD&T and measurement techniquesis an advantage.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently.
• Willing to learn and undergo training.
• Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet inspection schedules.
