About the role

This exciting full-time Quality Control Officer position at DONGWHA ELECTROLYTE MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Senai, Johor offers the opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency across the organization's manufacturing operations.

What you'll be doing

A Quality Control (QC) Officer is responsible for ensuring that products and services meet established quality standards and specifications throughout the production process. The focus is on inspecting, testing, and verifying that products conform to defined quality benchmarks, with a strong emphasis on identifying and addressing defects or discrepancies. Below are the roles and responsibilities of a QC Officer:

i) Incoming Quality Control (IQC)
  • Conducting warehousing inspection.
  • Conducting raw material incoming inspection and management.
  • Conducting the foreign impurities control.
  • Managing the expired raw material monitoring and re-analysis.
  • Managing new raw-material approval and register.
  • Managing the Supplier Chain Assessment (SCA).
  • Managing the Supplier Non-Conformance management and Supplier Changing Point management.
  • Preparing the IQC related report.
  • Assisting for supplier audit (QMSA).
  • Supporting to Mass Production (MP) part.
ii) Mass production (MP)
  • Conducting high purified solvent and blending solvent analysis and management.
  • Conducting mix solvent and finish product analysis and management.
  • Conducting the rework and reformulation.
  • Conducting lab test and output check.
  • Conducting the foreign impurities control.
  • Preparing the intermediate sample making (sample before LiBOB, salt analysis).
  • Preparing IQC sample preparation and management.
  • Preparing STD sample preparation and management (customer use and internal use).
  • Preparing First Article sample registration and management, COA and management, IQMS registration and management, and the MP related report.
  • Managing and conducting the keep sample analysis and management.
  • Managing the customer changing point and non-conformance management.
iii) Ad hoc
  • Preparing DR sample analysis support.
  • Managing the machine and instrument inspection.
  • Managing Gas bombe.
  • Conducting SUS bottle and Nalgene washing.
  • QC room management.
  • Ensure the Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) compliance to the standard regulations.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant quality standards, regulations, internal policies.
What we are looking for
  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Degree in a relevant field such as Chemistry, Quality Assurance, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry or in any related scientific field.
  • Junior or entry-level experience.
  • Fresh graduates are also encourage to apply. For fresh graduates, relevant internship experience in a QC or analytical chemistry role can fulfill entry-level experience requirements.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent computer skills, filing management, documentation and database.
  • Good communication skills both verbally and writing in English.
  • Familiar with all related Quality Standards Certifications such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ISO 9001, ISO 17025, IATF16949 would be an added advantage.
  • Familiar with key analytical techniques such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC), AAS, Moisture machine, HF machine, Turbidity machine, Viscometer, Ion Conductivity, Density meter, APHA machine, ICP-MS would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to think critically, identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
  • A meticulous and precise approach to work is critical for accurate testing and data recording.
  • Independent, fast learner, multitasking and high discipline, committed, motivated, able to work under pressure, positive minded and strong emotion.
  • Advantageous for individuals who are ready to be hired.
  • Applicant must be willing to work in Senai, Johor.
