This is a hands-on inspection position that involves visually examining parts for defects and using precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
Visually inspect small manufactured finished components for defects, damage, contamination, chips, cracks, and/or other imperfections.
Use precision measuring instruments such as digital calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment to verify that dimensions meet specified tolerances.
Compare measurements according to instructions such as drawings, specifications, and/or inspection requirements.
Handle small and delicate components carefully to prevent damage.
Identify and separate non-conforming or defective products.
Notify supervisors of defects or quality concerns.
Comfortable working with small parts and tight tolerances.
Good eyesight and strong attention to detail.
Ability to perform repetitive inspection work accurately and consistently.
Basic mathematical skills.
