Job summary

Santomas Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah, Malaysia is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our manufacturing team on a full-time basis. You will help ensure product quality across the production process and support ISO and 5S initiatives.

The role welcomes fresh graduates or those with up to one year in quality, requires a diploma/certificate in plastic injection moulding, and knowledge of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers and a microscope.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate or one year of experience in Quality.
• Diploma/ Certificate in Plastic Injection Moulding Related Fields.
• Knowledge in Plastic Injection Moulding.
• Knowledge in handling measuring equipment such as caliper, micrometer and microscope.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product standards and implement quality control programs to achieve company goals.
• Follow ISO procedures and 5S standards and ensure subordinates understand policies.
• Conduct daily visual and dimensional inspections according to the control plan.
• Update IPQC documents in line with ISO and 5S standards.
• Oversee the production/IPQC process to ensure cost effectiveness and on-time delivery.
• Provide guidance to subordinates to ensure product quality and safety standards.

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to join our team at Santomas Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities:

To follow the Company’s Objective, employment policy, ISO procedure and other prevailing enforced policy to all subordinates and to ensure that all subordinates understood and followed the objective and policies.

To ensure all Company’s classified information available accessed by you shall not leak to any unauthorised person (either Company’s employee or outsider) intentionally or unintentionally or negligently.

To observe requirement of assigned job completion report strictly and and to consult Superior for advice in the decision-making process at all the time for any significant job matter.

To monitor the product standards and implementing quality control programs to achieve the Company’s policies and goals.

To implement and fulfil the Company’s job assignment & Superior's job instruction faithfully and dutifully and uphold the Company’s policies and regulations at all the times.

To ensure the usage of all company's properties are authorised and to ensure that unauthorised or personal use of company's properties by subordinate is prohibited.

To monitor the daily shift operations to ensure production standards, quality parameters, safety procedures and department objective are met.

To do job arrangement effectively and to ensure that all subordinates are competent and understand their individual job function clearly.

To find out the root cause of job defect or job mistake and arrange the defect ratification action immediately and feedback to Leader.

To conduct the online audit and 2nd process audit effectively without any failure and completed in time.

To conduct daily visual and dimension inspection implemented effectively according to Control plan without any failure and completed in time.

Update all the IPQC document according to ISO and 5S Standard.

To responsible for monitoring the total production process including continual monitoring of the total product flow, equipment, process methodology, mechanical repair work orders, on site job training of employees, writing and developing standard operating procedures (SOP), product quality, product yields and safety excellence.

To oversee the production/IPQC process, drawing up a production schedule to ensure that the production is cost effective and the products are produced on time and are of good quality.

To monitor and motivate a team of workers, proactively implements, promotes and maintains a safe working environment.

To ensure job transferring meeting, from current shift to following shift is conducted clearly properly and effectively.

To comply with ISO standard requirement and other company's business-related certification faithfully and to implement 5S activities in the workplace.

To supervise and provide guidance/direction to subordinates in the section to ensure the product quality and safety standard are met, good manufacturing practices are followed.

Key Requirement:

Fresh graduate or one year working experience in the Quality department.
