Job summary

Santomas Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah is seeking a dedicated QA Technician for our manufacturing operations. This full-time role focuses on upholding the highest quality standards across processes, with emphasis on OQC/IQC, ISO compliance, and cross-department collaboration.

Ideal candidates bring at least 2 years in QA/QC within manufacturing, strong analytical abilities, and a solid grasp of ISO quality systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Technician or in a similar quality control role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, tools, and techniques.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying quality issues.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with the production team.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow all Company rules and regulations.
• Ensure information access control and prevent leaks of confidential information.
• Follow and uphold Company policies and procedures.
• Follow ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and EMSI4001 in the workplace.
• Perform OQC buyoff according to buyoff procedures.
• Read and understand rejects at IPQC and use data during buyoff.
• Perform IQC inspection according to IQC procedures.
• Prepare OQC/IQC reports daily and monthly.
• Use equipment properly and avoid negligence.
• Support overtime as requested.
• Work with other departments and maintain teamwork.
• Sort/rework warehouse stock on customer complaints, when needed.

We are seeking a dedicated QA Technician to join our team at Santomas Sdn Bhd in Kulim, Kedah. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

To understand and follow all Company's employment rules & regulations, Company’s and dept’s work regulations & procedures.

To ensure all Company’s unclassified information & classified information available accessed is not leaked to any unauthorised person intentionally or negligently.

To implement and fulfill the Co’s assigned job & direct Superior’s job instruction faithfully & dutifully and to uphold the Co’s policy & reputation at all times.

To observe requirement of assigned job completion report strictly and to consult superior for advice in the decision making process at all the time for any significant job matter.

To ensure the usage of all company’s properties in Human Resource & admin department are authorised and also to ensure that unauthorized or personal use of company’s properties is prohibited.

To work and co-operate with other dept and maintain friendly work relation in teamwork spirit with others for the purpose of common objective of Company’s business.

To follow ISO 9001,1ATF16949 and EMSI4001 together with SS practice in the workplace at all times.

To follow superior work's instruction and job assignment faithfully and dutifully.

To inform the immediate superior/HOD immediately when witness any colleague Violating company’s rules including Violent act.

To perform OQC buyoff according to OQC buyoff procedure.

Read and understand all rejects seen at IPQC monitor and use this information during buyoff.

Issue out sorting memo if rejects are found and follow up and ensure the memo is closed after sorting.

Perform loose packing/qty check to ensure labelling and quantity are correct.

Perform IQC inspection according to IQC procedure.

Ensure proper documentation is followed thru and prepare OQC/IQC report on daily basis & monthly.

Use equipment properly and no negligence during usage.

Help if needed to sort out defective product. Support overtime as requested.

Understand ISO9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 policy and objective & all QA procedure and WI & key requirement of 14001 environmental policy.

To work with other departments. Cooperatively and maintain friendly work relation in teamwork spirit with others for the purpose of common objective of Company’s business.

With superior direction perform sorting /rework on warehouse stock on receipt of customer complain, if necessary.

With superior direction perform sorting /rework at customer premises if necessary.
