Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor in Food Science / Food Technology or related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of working experience in Quality Control.
• Highly adaptable, patient, organized, disciplined and able to follow-up on tasks; good time management and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good written and spoken English and Malay.

Responsibilities

• Monitor product manufacturing to ensure compliance with SOP, GMP, HALAL, HACCP, ISO 22000.
• Perform analytical tests, inspections, and monitoring of incoming raw materials/packaging according to sampling plan.
• Monitor CCPs and perform checks for hygiene, temperature, packaging integrity, and shelf-life testing.
• Maintain accurate QC records, including test results, inspection forms, deviation reports, and certificates of analysis.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports.
• Report any OOS findings, deviations, or non-conformances to QA/Production.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Support traceability and recall procedures when necessary.
• Monitor production activities to prevent cross-contamination and other quality hazards.
• Conduct checks on final product packaging and outgoing checking according to sampling plan.
• Investigate root causes of quality issues and propose corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow up on implementation and effectiveness of corrective measures.
• Assist in monitoring & measuring equipment internal calibration; document calibration records.
• Provide training and guidance to production staff on QC procedures and hygiene practices.
• Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives.
• Routinely collect retention samples and prepare external lab analysis samples when necessary.
• Make prompt decisions concerning product safety/quality when processes deviate from specifications.
• Develop or improvise WI or SOP for process control / QC inspection.
• Inspect plant hygiene and personal hygiene & cleanliness.
• Liaise with other departments to improve food safety management system.
• Assist in customer complaint investigation and effective corrective action.
• Undertake any adhoc task / project assigned by superior or Management.
