Job summary

Hornbill Skyways Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to perform audits on CAMO activities, verify corrective actions, and liaise with Flight Operations, CAMO and AMO to ensure CAAM compliance and airworthiness.

The role includes investigating incidents, reviewing MORs, and providing feedback to QAM, with attention to detail and strong English communication. Applicants should hold a Malaysian AML or engineering degree, have 5+ years aviation experience, and possess training in

Qualifications

• Hold a valid and current Malaysian AML or relevant engineering degree acceptable to CAAM.
• Minimum 5 years in aviation experience.
• Formal aeronautical, maintenance and auditors training.
• Sound knowledge of CAAM regulations related to Part 145 and Part M
• Good command of the English language with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to details with good analytical thinking.
• Good computer skills – Microsoft Office and aviation related software is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits and surveillance on HSSB CAMO activities to ensure compliance with requirements, procedures and standards to maintain airworthiness.
• Verify corrective and preventive actions taken by responsible Section Heads and raise NCRs with deadlines.
• Liaise with HSSB Flight Operations, CAMO and AMO on compliance matters and feedback to QAM.
• Investigate incidents/accidents involving aircraft maintained or operated by HSSB and file reports with corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Review MORs and inform CAAM within stipulated time; submit reports for approval before dissemination to senior departments.

Job description

Perform Audits and Surveillance on HSSB CAMO activities to ensure compliance with requirements, procedures and standards so that quality of the product is maintained in an airworthiness state. Raise Report and issue NCR to Section Heads for corrective and remedial actions to be accomplished within the agreed time frame.

To perform quality audits inclusive of verification of corrective and preventive actions taken by responsible Section Heads on recent quality audit reports and ‘Open’ NCRs. Provide feedback to QAM.

Liaise with HSSB Flight Operations, CAMO and AMO on matters relating to compliance to airworthiness requirements.

Carry out investigation of any incident / accident involving aircraft maintained / operated by HSSB. Discuss and file reports on adverse findings and observation to QAM. Monitor and review corrective and preventive actions taken to prevent a recurrence. If feedback is unsatisfactory inform QAM for further action.

Review and investigate Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MOR) raised by either HSSB CAMO, AMO or Flight Operations. Liaise with QAM so that the CAAM is informed on details of the MOR within the stipulated time limit. Submit reports to QAM for approval before providing copy to the Chief of Departments and CAAM.

Assist QA & Training Executive in facilitating training courses for HSSB CAMO personnel.

Carry out any other tasks assigned by superior.

Job Requirements

Hold a valid and current Malaysian AML or relevant engineering degree acceptable to CAAM.

Minimum 5 years in aviation experience.

Has had formal aeronautical, maintenance and auditors training.

Has sound knowledge of CAAM regulations related to Part 145 and Part M

Good command of the English language supported by strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationship with the team.

Good attention to details with good analytical thinking.

Good computer skills – Microsoft Office and other office software. Skills in Aviation related software is an added advantage.

Clear and confident communicator, capable of providing regular feedback based on facts.

Able to cope with pressure and work towards tight datelines.
