Job summary

Fuji Electric Malaysia is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead customer complaint investigations and drive root cause analysis using 8D, FMEA, and FTA. You will coordinate containment actions, implement corrective and preventive actions, and prepare reports within required timelines.

The role also involves audits, line checks, and contributing to ISO9001 and ISO14001 environmental management programs. 1–2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science field.
• 1–2 years manufacturing experience.
• Experience handling customer complaints and audits is advantageous.
• Knowledge of 8D, FMEA, FTA, SPC, Minitab and MS Office.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer complaint investigations using quality tools such as 8D, FTA and FMEA.
• Coordinate containment actions and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Prepare and submit customer complaint reports within required timelines.
• Communicate investigation progress and technical findings with internal customers.
• Monitor complaint trends and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Conduct line audits to verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.
• Coordinate Customer Audits and Plant Visits.
• Update the customer audit findings report and ensure timely closure for the corrective actions.
• Establish failure analysis plans based on customer complaints and internal quality failures.
• Analyse the defective samples and determine failure mechanisms with analytical equipment and engineering techniques.
• Ensure compliance with customer and internal specifications.
• Support the implementation of the ISO9001, ISO14001 systems and EMP.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Engineering or Science field or equivalent.
• 1-2 years working experience in the manufacturing environment.
• Experience handling customer complaints and customer audits will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge on 8D report, FMEA, FTA, SPC, Minitab and Microsoft office is an advanced.
• Self- motivated with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good report writing and technical documentation skills.
