Job summary

Matterhorn Technologies Sdn Bhd in Johor, Malaysia, seeks a QA Specialist to uphold ISO 9001/14001, ensure testing standards, and drive calibration processes in a manufacturing setting.

You will lead QA task plans, support internal and external audits, supervise QA Technicians, and collaborate across departments to meet product requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and QA standards.
• Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing or ISO-certified environment.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ensure QA activities comply with ISO Management Systems (9001, 14001) and testing standards, meeting product requirements including calibration.
• Plan, lead, and monitor daily QA task plans and quality improvement initiatives.
• Conduct internal audits and manage timely closure of audit findings.
• Coordinate external audits and certification activities, including document preparation and audit support.
• Oversee maintenance and calibration of test equipment for reliability and compliance.
• Review and maintain calibration activities and take corrective actions if out of tolerance.
• Prepare, review, and submit quality-related reports and documentation.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective, preventive, and improvement actions.

Job description

This is a full-time permanent position in a manufacturing or ISO-certified environment. You will ensure QA activities comply with ISO Management Systems (9001, 14001) and adhere to testing standards, while overseeing quality improvement initiatives and equipment calibration processes.

Key responsibilities

Ensure QA activities comply with ISO Management Systems (9001, 14001), adhere to testing standards (ISO), and meet product requirements, including calibration processes

Plan, lead, and monitor daily sessional QA task plans and quality improvement initiatives

Conduct internal audits and manage timely closure of audit findings

Coordinate external audits and certification activities, including document preparation and audit support

Oversee the maintenance and calibration of test equipment to ensure reliability and compliance with standards

Review and maintain calibration activities, and take corrective actions if equipment is out of tolerance

Prepare, review, and submit quality-related reports and documentation according to standards

Perform root cause analysis, implement corrective, preventive, and improvement actions, and verify their effectiveness

Supervise and guide QA Technicians and Senior Technicians in task execution and problem-solving

Collaborate with other departments and external parties to support project or audit needs

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering

Knowledge on FMEA, 8D, MSA, SPC

Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or ISO-certified environment

Basic understanding of Manufacturing / Test Engineering principles, process improvements, and strong organizational, reporting, and analytical skills

Able to work independently and be results-oriented with minimal supervision

English and Malay language proficiency (Preferred)
