This role involves sustaining and improving ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, serving as lead auditor for the EHS management system, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across all health, safety, and environmental activities.
Key responsibilities
- Sustain and improve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and serve as lead auditor for EHS management system
- Sustain and update ISO procedures as and when necessary
- Plan and conduct EHS related training for employees, visitors and contractors
- Conduct EHS inspections/assessments and provide technical support
- Sustain industrial hygiene monitoring program and ensure compliance
- Assist Department head in ensuring site compliance with client's, governmental and local regulations pertaining to EHS compliance and handle all contact with appropriate agencies
- Ensure required regulatory reports are submitted accurately and within established deadlines
- Perform accident investigations, follow up on corrective action closure and report to DOSH as and when necessary
- Sustain Contractor Safety program and conduct contractor orientation programs and badge issuance
- Manage emergency response preparedness program, including sustaining and updating procedures, maintaining plant evacuation maps, signage and assembly areas, and commanding Emergency Response team
About you
- Bachelor Degree in HSE or related Engineering
- Minimum 1-2 years working experience in managing HSE activities
- Possess a certificate in Occupational Health & Safety from National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) or equivalent
- Have involved in HSE/Projects/Engineering field work
- Sufficient knowledge and expertise in areas of HSE technical expertise
- Good command in both written and spoken languages i.e. Malay and English
