Job summary

Malaysia Steel Works (KL) Bhd (Masteel) seeks a machine operator to operate lathe, grinding, milling and cutting machines, and to prepare materials for production. The role includes spare parts handling, pre-shift checks, and routine maintenance, with duties extending to ad-hoc tasks as required.

The ideal candidate has SPM with credits and 2–4 years’ experience, understands mechanical drawings, and can communicate in Mandarin with Chinese expatriates.

Qualifications

• SPM with credits in any subjects.
• 2–4 years of experience in handling machine parts and spare parts.
• Basic understanding of mechanical drawing.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin with expatriates from China.
• Willing to work on shift hours, weekends and public holidays.
• Own transport to Bukit Raja, Klang.

Responsibilities

• Operate the lathe machine, grinding machine, milling machine and cutting machine.
• Prepare raw materials, tools and consumables for production.
• Handle spare parts and machining mill rolls.
• Check tools and equipment before starting work.
• Carry out maintenance on workshop machines regularly.
• Report any machine issues to the supervisor.
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as necessary.

Candidate must be able to communicate in Mandarin to deal with Expatriates from China who handle the machine

Willing to work on shift hours, weekends, and public holidays

Possess own transport to work at Bukit Raja, Klang
