Job summary

Jora Malaysia invites applications for a Quality Control lead role in our Shah Alam factory. The successful candidate will oversee daily QC operations, review critical quality documents, and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and halal standards while collaborating with production and R&D teams.

The role requires 1–2 years in food manufacturing and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset. On-site work at Jalan Welfare, Kg Baru Sg Buloh, with opportunities for training and career advancement.

Qualifications

• SPM / O Level / SKM Level 1 / SKM Level 2 / SKM Level 3 or Equivalent
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment; beverage industry experience is an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of HACCP, GMP, HALAL, and food safety management systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily Quality Control operations to ensure product quality and food safety compliance.
• Review and verify quality documents, including BMRs, COAs, inspection records, and calibration reports.
• Conduct incoming inspections of Raw and Packaging materials to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Monitor production processes, retention samples, and quality parameters to maintain product consistency.
• Coordinate external laboratory testing, including sample preparation, submission, and result follow-up.
• Oversee laboratory equipment verification, consumable inventory, and environmental monitoring activities.
• Conduct routine inspections on workers' hygiene, factory cleanliness, and workplace safety compliance.
• Prepare and deliver QC-related training, new employee induction, and quality awareness programs.
• Support QA activities, including non-conformance reports (NCR), customer complaints, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in Halal certification activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
• Plan and manage QC manpower, work schedules, and daily task allocation.
• Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, R&D, and other departments to resolve quality issues and improve operational performance.
• Monitor production trial runs and support new product development and validation activities.
• Maintain quality records and ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, Halal, and company quality management systems.
• Liaise with third-party laboratories, auditors, customers, and regulatory authorities when required.
