Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Science, or related discipline.
  • 3–5 years of QC/QA experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience supervising or managing a QC team.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes, inspection methods, root cause analysis and CAPA frameworks.
  • Experience handling customer complaints and communicating actions to stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Mandarin proficiency is required for regular reporting to China-based management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day QC operations and ensure consistent product quality.
  • Manage quality issues and customer complaints with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain QC inspection standards, testing methods and documentation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, R&D, suppliers and customers.
  • Lead, supervise and develop the QC team through training and performance management.

What you’ll be doing?
  • Daily QC Operations Leadership: Lead and manage day‑to‑day quality control activities, including the inspection and testing of raw materials, in‑process products, and finished goods to maintain consistent product quality standards.
  • Quality Issue & Complaint Management: Monitor and address quality issues and customer complaints promptly, conducting thorough root cause analysis and driving corrective and preventive actions to resolution.
  • Standards & Documentation Development: Establish, maintain, and continuously improve QC inspection standards, testing methods, work procedures, and quality documentation to keep practices current and effective.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, Engineering, R&D, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality challenges efficiently and foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, supervise, and develop the QC team through effective work allocation, performance monitoring, structured training, and ongoing capability building initiatives.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Science, or a related discipline provides the technical foundation expected for this role.
  • QC/QA Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant quality control or quality assurance experience is required, preferably gained within a manufacturing environment.
  • Team Management Experience: Prior experience supervising or managing a QC team is essential, as this role carries full responsibility for leading and developing the quality function.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of quality control processes, inspection methods, root cause analysis techniques, and corrective and preventive action frameworks is fundamental to performing well in this position.
  • Customer Complaint Handling: Demonstrated experience managing customer complaints and quality‑related issues, with the ability to communicate findings and actions clearly to stakeholders.
  • Leadership & Problem‑Solving Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, clear communication, and effective problem‑solving skills are key to managing a team and navigating the complexities of a manufacturing quality environment.
  • Mandarin Proficiency: Proficiency in Mandarin is required for this role, as regular communication and reporting to China-based management is an integral part of the position.
  • Hands‑On Approach: Candidates who are practical, responsible, and genuinely passionate about building team capability and driving quality excellence are strongly encouraged to apply.
