Job summary

XUTECH SDN BHD in Penang is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join our precision sheet metal manufacturing team. You will inspect products, measure dimensions, and ensure quality throughout production.

The role requires reading 2D/3D drawings, using vernier calipers, micrometers, and other gauges, and documenting results. Mandarin-speaking candidates are a plus; training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in precision sheet metal manufacturing preferred.
• Able to read 2D/3D drawings and interpret tolerances.
• Proficient with measurement instruments and data recording.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of ISO/QMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming inspection of sheet metal raw materials and prepare reports.
• Monitor quality inspections during production to meet standards.
• Perform 100% inspection of outsourced finished products and investigate issues.
• Record and analyze quality data; recommend improvements.
• Participate in internal quality audits and maintain QMS.

We are looking for a responsible, hardworking, and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team. The role involves inspecting products, conducting measurements, and ensuring product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct incoming inspection of sheet metal raw materials and prepare the relevant quality inspection reports.
• Monitor and perform quality inspections throughout the production process of precision sheet metal parts to ensure products meet established quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct 100% inspection of outsourced finished products, including accurate inspection of dimensions, shape, surface finish, and other quality requirements. Assist in investigating quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Record and analyze quality data, identify potential quality issues, and recommend appropriate improvement measures.
• Participate in or lead internal quality audits to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System.

Requirements

• Familiar with precision sheet metal manufacturing processes, with a strong sense of responsibility and quality awareness.
• Proficient in using measurement instruments such as vernier calipers, angle gauges, micrometers, and 2.5D measuring equipment, with the ability to accurately record and interpret measurement results.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to independently prepare quality inspection reports and related documentation.
• Able to read and interpret 2D and 3D mechanical drawings.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with production, engineering, and other departments.
• Previous experience in precision sheet metal manufacturing or a similar QC/inspection role is preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS) is an added advantage.
• Candidates who can communicate in Mandarin are preferred, as the role may require communication with Mandarin speaking colleagues and management.
