Job summary

SINWOO ENC MALAYSIA SDN BHD is seeking a QA/QC/Site Inspector to perform daily inspections for MEP/CSA works and verify conformance to drawings, specs, and ITPs. You will review drawings, participate in commissioning planning, and report non-conformances to support on-site quality objectives.

Candidate should have a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering with 2–5 years in QA/QC, site inspection or commissioning on construction projects. On-site work, including Saturdays, is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in QA/QC, site inspection or commissioning within construction projects.
• Experience in large infrastructure projects is a plus.
• Good understanding of QA/QC procedures and construction drawings.
• Able to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Willing to work on-site, including Saturdays and extended hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily site quality inspections for MEP and/or CSA works.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specs, ITPs and method statements.

• Conduct inspections on underground installations, equipment deliveries, set-in-place, pre-energization and final cleanings.
• Attend daily, weekly and project coordination meetings.
• Monitor project quality risks and report non-conformances.
• Maintain Quality Discrepancy Logs and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Review project drawings, RFIs, shop drawings and commissioning plans.
• Support project commissioning activities and equipment energization.
• Work with contractors, consultants and client representatives to meet quality objectives.

Job description

Perform daily site quality inspections for MEP and/or CSA works.

Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, inspection test plans (ITP) and method statements.

Verify installation quality before progressing to the next construction or commissioning stage.

Conduct inspections on:

Underground installations

Equipment delivery inspections

Set-in-place inspections

Pre-energization inspections

Final clean inspections

Attend daily, weekly and project coordination meetings.

Monitor project quality risks and report non-conformances.

Maintain Quality Discrepancy Logs and ensure corrective actions are completed.

Review project documentation including drawings, specifications, RFIs, shop drawings and commissioning plans.

Support project commissioning activities and equipment energization.

Work closely with contractors, consultants and client representatives to achieve project quality objectives.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in QA/QC, Site Inspection or Commissioning within construction projects.

Experience in construction/ plant and Industrial Large Infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.

Good understanding of:

QA/QC procedures

Construction drawings

Familiarity with AUTOCAD Software, 8D or similar quality improvement methodologies is an advantage.

Able to read engineering drawings and technical documentation.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Willing to work on-site, including Saturdays and extended hours when required.
