Job summary

AZAN ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking a QA/QC Inspector to monitor and inspect construction activities for compliance with drawings, specifications and quality standards.

You will develop and maintain QA/QC procedures, review ITPs, method statements, NCRs and coordinate with consultants and site teams to ensure defects are identified and resolved promptly. Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Develop, implement and maintain project Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures.

Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.

Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection reports, checklists and records.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams on quality-related matters.

Review material submissions, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), and other technical documents.

Conduct inspections and testing of construction materials and completed works.

Identify, record and follow up on defects, non-conformance, and quality issues.

Assist in preparing and closing NCR (Non-Conformance Reports) and corrective actions.

Ensure all inspection and testing activities are properly documented.

Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials delivered to the site.

Attend site meetings and provide updates on quality-related matters.

Ensure compliance with relevant standards, specifications and project requirements.

Coordinate with the project team to implement corrective and preventive actions.

Perform any other duties assigned by the management.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or a related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in QA/QC or construction is preferred.

Experience in construction projects and site inspection is an advantage.

Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

Familiar with ITP, Method Statement, NCR, inspection checklists and QA/QC documentation.

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.

Good communication and coordination skills.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Willing to work at construction sites and travel when required.
