Job summary

WZR PROPERTY SDN BHD is seeking a qualified Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager for a contract basis project in Cameron Highlands. The role focuses on developing and maintaining QA/QC procedures, coordinating site inspections and ensuring compliance with Malaysian standards and project requirements.

You will manage ITPs, checklists and QA documentation, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and drive corrective actions for non-conformances.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in construction/infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspections, testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain QA/QC procedures and plans.
• Monitor construction activities against drawings, specs and method statements.
• Coordinate site inspections and testing per approved ITPs.
• Ensure materials, workmanship and completed works meet quality standards.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation (ITPs, checklists, reports).
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and site teams on quality matters.
• Identify and address NCRs with corrective actions and closures.
• Monitor laboratory and field tests; participate in quality audits and meetings.

Job description

Location: Project / CAMERON HIGHLAND
Employment Type: CONTRACT BASIS

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement and maintain the project Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures and plans.

Monitor construction activities to ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project requirements.

Conduct and coordinate site inspections, material inspections and testing in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITP).

Ensure construction materials, workmanship and completed works meet the required quality standards.

Prepare, review and maintain QA/QC documentation, including ITPs, checklists, inspection reports, test reports, material approvals and quality records.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors and site teams on quality-related matters.

Identify and monitor Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective and preventive actions are properly implemented and closed.

Monitor testing activities and ensure required laboratory and field tests are carried out accordingly.

Participate in quality audits, inspections and project meetings.

Assist in identifying potential quality issues and recommend appropriate corrective measures.

Maintain proper documentation and records for project quality requirements and handover.

Ensure compliance with applicable Malaysian Standards, specifications, statutory requirements and project quality procedures.

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in QA/QC within the construction or infrastructure industry.

Strong knowledge of construction quality control procedures, inspection processes and testing requirements.

Experience in preparing and managing ITPs, method statements, checklists, NCRs and quality documentation.

Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications and contract requirements.

Familiarity with relevant Malaysian Standards, JKR specifications and applicable quality requirements will be an advantage.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Able to work independently and effectively coordinate with consultants, contractors and site personnel.

Willing to be based at project/site locations and travel when required.

Added Advantage

Experience in road, highway, civil infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.

Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

Relevant QA/QC or quality management certification.

Experience in handling consultant/client inspections and project quality audits.
