Job summary

AZAN ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking a QA/QC assistant to help monitor construction works for compliance with project specifications, drawings and quality requirements.

The role includes site inspections, checking materials and workmanship, and supporting the preparation of ITPs and QA/QC documentation. You will coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors and consultants on quality matters, maintain QAQC records, report defects and non-conformances, and assist in action plans.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Quality Management or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of construction processes, quality control and QAQC procedures.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation is an advantage.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

Job description

Assist the QAQC team in monitoring and ensuring construction works comply with project specifications, drawings, standards and quality requirements.

Conduct regular site inspections and monitor the quality of ongoing works.

Assist in checking materials, workmanship and completed works to ensure compliance with approved specifications.

Assist in preparing Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), inspection checklists, inspection requests and other QAQC documentation.

Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, consultants and other project personnel on quality related matters.

Assist in arranging and monitoring material testing, site testing and inspection activities.

Record and report quality issues, defects and non conformance identified at the project site.

Assist in preparing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), corrective action reports and follow up documentation where required.

Maintain and update QAQC records, inspection reports, test results, method statements and other quality related documents.

Assist in monitoring corrective and preventive actions to ensure identified quality issues are properly resolved.

Participate in site meetings, quality inspections and coordination meetings when required.

Ensure proper filing and maintenance of all QAQC documents for project records.

Perform other duties related to quality control and project requirements as assigned by the management or QAQC Engineer.
