Job summary

AZAN ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. is seeking a junior QA/QC Engineer Assistant to support on-site quality control for civil construction projects in Malaysia.

You will monitor workmanship, inspect materials, and ensure works align with drawings, specs, and project requirements. Responsibilities include preparing QA/QC documents, inspection checklists, and records, and assisting with inspection requests, NCRs, and close coordination with site personnel, subcontractors, and consultants.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Previous experience in QA/QC or construction is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of construction processes, materials, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist the QA/QC Engineer in monitoring the quality of construction works.
• Conduct site inspections and assist in checking workmanship, materials and construction activities.
• Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining QA/QC documents, inspection checklists, reports and records.
• Assist in preparing and submitting Inspection Requests and other quality-related documents.
• Assist in monitoring material testing and laboratory test results.
• Maintain proper records of inspection reports, test results, material approvals and other QA/QC documentation.
• Assist in identifying quality issues and reporting them to the QA/QC Engineer or Site Manager.
• Assist in following up on corrective actions and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
• Coordinate with site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and other relevant parties on quality-related matters.
• Assist during consultant/client inspections and site quality checks.
• Ensure QA/QC records are properly filed and updated.
• Perform other duties related to quality control as assigned by the management.

Familiarity with QA/QC documentation such as ITP, Method Statement, Inspection Request, MIR, WIR and NCR is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.

Good attention to detail and documentation skills.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsible, organized, and willing to learn.

Able to work at construction sites and under pressure.

Willing to travel or relocate to project sites when required.

Possess own transportation is an advantage.
