Job summary

PERSOL Workforce Solutions Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified QA/QC and Site Supervision professional for civil, infrastructure or marine projects in Malaysia. You will inspect workmanship and materials, review drawings, and ensure compliance with MS, BS, and ISO standards, while maintaining QAQC reports.

Ideal candidates hold a civil engineering degree, 3–5 years' experience, and good command of AutoCAD and MS Office. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring extended hours when needed.

• Diploma or Degree in Civil, Structural, or Building Engineering.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as Inspector of Works (IOW) is an advantage.
• Minimum 3–5 years of site supervision or QAQC experience.

Job description

A. Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QAQC)

Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Verify workmanship, materials, and installations meet project and regulatory requirements.

Prepare and maintain QAQC documents, inspection reports, and test records.

Review contractor submissions, identify non-conformances, and monitor corrective actions.

Support quality audits and compliance with QLASSIC, CIDB, and ISO standards.

B. Site Supervision & Inspection

Supervise daily construction activities to ensure work execution aligns with project drawings and specifications.

Monitor structural, civil, and architectural works including earthworks, piling, concreting, and finishing.

For infrastructure or marine-related projects, oversee dredging, filling, compaction, geotextile installation, and revetment construction.

Ensure construction works meet Malaysian Standards (MS), Eurocodes, BS Codes, and other statutory requirements (DOE, DID, JPS, etc.).

Coordinate and resolve technical issues with contractors, consultants, and other Inspectors of Work (C&S, M&E, Architectural).

Attend site coordination and progress meetings, providing input on quality and work progress.

C. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate daily site records including inspection reports, site diaries, and as-built markups.

Prepare progress updates and highlight discrepancies or delays to the Resident Engineer or Project Manager.

Use digital tools or QAQC platforms for efficient inspection reporting and document control.

D. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

Enforce compliance with site safety and environmental standards in line with OSHA 1994, Factories and Machinery Act, and Environmental Quality Act.

Promote safe working practices, especially during heavy equipment or marine operations.

Support implementation of Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) and environmental monitoring procedures.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Civil, Structural, or Building Engineering (or equivalent).

Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as Inspector of Works (IOW) is an advantage.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in site supervision or QAQC roles for building, infrastructure, or marine projects.

Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and standards (MS, BS, Eurocodes).

Able to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and geotechnical reports.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and QAQC reporting systems.

Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Willing to work extended hours when required.
